Government Affair, also called government relations, is a lawful form of political participation in which groups seek to influence government officials, such as legislators or members of regulatory agencies. Government affair activities vary from discussions with government representatives to negotiating the details of a bill to organizing grassroots campaigns. Government affair work for businesses, trade associations, and other organizations that want someone to advocate for government policies on their behalf.
